Life Changes

A little more than a month ago, Theresa earned acceptances into doctoral programs.  It was exciting that multiple places wanted her, but the University of Maryland at College Park offered her the most generous funding packing, and the idea of interning at some agencies and NGOs in the capital attracted her to the program.  She'll start there in August.

After the graduate school decision, we actively searched for a home.  We bid on a large split-level home with a generous sunny lot in the DC Metro Area.  We will move to Silver Spring next month.  We close at the end of this month, but we will do a few renovations before we move into the house.  Our plans will include painting, purchasing some carpet for the basement, and new lighting and ceilings for the main floor.  Eventually, we will renovate our kitchen and our bathrooms.  We already have some fun plans as well for some landscaping.
