May is perhaps the best month to visit the University of Washington's Arboretum. The azaleas in the Japanese Garden are in full bloom this time of year. We spent yesterday afternoon in one of our favorite spots which is the back region where all of the rose colored buds pop. The pond is nice with its koi and turtle collections. You can buy special koi food, too, to feed the little guys. I haven't done it for a few years, but the last time I did it, a bag of food was about 50 cents.
